At Overcomer Ministry, our faith is centered on Jesus Christ. The following beliefs guide our teaching, prayer, and service to others.

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our foundation for faith and Christian living. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, truth, and purposes. We look to His Word to guide our teaching, prayer ministry, and relationships, and we seek to apply it faithfully and with humility.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17.

God the Father

We believe in the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, eternally existing in three persons. God is the Creator of Heaven and Earth, the Living God, eternal and everlasting. He is the Great I AM.

We believe that God the Father is holy, righteous, and sovereign over all creation. He is worthy of all honor, glory, worship, and praise. He loves humanity and demonstrated that love by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem and reconcile mankind to Himself.

We believe that God is faithful, unchanging, and true to His Word. He hears the prayers of His people, provides for their needs, and is our refuge, strength, and source of hope. To Him belong all power, authority, and glory forever and ever. Amen.

Scripture: Matthew 28:19; John 3:16.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and came to earth to die for all mankind. He is fully God and fully human, the visible image of the invisible God, full of grace and truth.

He willingly shed His precious Blood on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Through His sacrifice, the penalty of sin was paid, and a way was made for humanity to be reconciled to God.

We believe that through His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ conquered sin, death, and the power of darkness, offering eternal life to those who place their faith in Him. He was buried and rose again on the third day.

After His resurrection, Jesus remained on earth for 40 days before ascending into Heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of the Father.

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer, Savior, Deliverer, Healer, and King. Even now, He intercedes for His people and invites all who are weary and burdened to come to Him and find rest, hope, peace, healing, and everlasting life.

Scripture: John 3:16; John 1:1, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:3, 9.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit gives us our gifts to edify the Church, to glorify God, and to serve others. We believe that every believer should cultivate an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit and seek His guidance in all things.

As Jesus said, He would go to the Father and send the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, who would teach, guide, and lead us into all truth.

We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells within believers, comforts, teaches, convicts, and strengthens them to live a godly life. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, believers are equipped for ministry, empowered to bear spiritual fruit, and enabled to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives, bringing glory to God and building up the Body of Christ.

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 14:16–17, 26; John 16:13.

Salvation

We believe that everyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ alone will be saved. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, not earned by works, but received through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Through Him, our sins are forgiven, we are reconciled to God, made new creations, and granted the gift of eternal life. There is no other name under Heaven by which we must be saved except Jesus Christ.

We believe that repentance and faith in Jesus Christ mark our response to the gospel, and that good works flow from a life transformed by His grace.

Scripture: Romans 1:16; Ephesians 2:8–10; Acts 4:12; Acts 20:21.Salvation (Romans 1:16)

The Power of the Blood of Jesus Christiah 30:17)

We believe in the Power of the Blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Through His Blood, there is redemption, healing, restoration, and freedom.

Through His sacrifice, we receive forgiveness and reconciliation with God. Our confidence rests in what Jesus Christ has accomplished for us, and we look to Him for cleansing, freedom, and renewed hope.

Scripture: Ephesians 1:7; 1 John 1:7

Healing

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Healer and that restoration is part of God’s redemptive work.

We believe that God brings wholeness to spirit, soul, and body. Through faith, prayer, repentance, and the power of the Holy Spirit, He mends the brokenhearted, renews the weary, strengthens the weak, and brings freedom to those who are burdened.

We believe that Jesus Christ sees every hurt and understands every burden, including wounds that remain hidden. We prayerfully walk alongside those seeking healing, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique and that we cannot promise a particular outcome or timeline.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and that He continues to work in the lives of His people according to His will and for His glory.

We believe that through Jesus Christ, lives can be restored, hearts renewed, and individuals transformed, so they may walk in the fullness of God’s purpose and grace.

Scripture: Jeremiah 30:17; Psalm 147:3; Hebrews 13:8.

The Church

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, called to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and serve others in love. We value fellowship, prayer, biblical teaching, and mutual encouragement as believers grow together in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

We seek to equip believers to use their gifts with humility and compassion, building up the Church and sharing the hope found in Christ.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:42.

The Return of Jesus Chris

We believe that Jesus Christ will return in glory. We look forward with hope to the fulfillment of His promises and eternal life in His presence. This hope encourages us to live faithfully, love others, and share the gospel.

Scripture: Acts 1:11; Titus 2:13; John 14:1–3.
