Inner Healing

At Overcomer Ministry, we use biblical principles and prayer-guided tools to help individuals walk through the process of inner healing and restoration. We firmly believe that healing begins with a heart willing to forgive. Forgiveness is often the first step toward freedom and wholeness.

Through our experience, we have learned that each person’s journey is unique. Some individuals may experience significant breakthrough in a few sessions, while others may require a longer process depending on the depth of their wounds, life experiences, and areas of brokenness. Personal commitment, participation, and a willingness to partner with the Holy Spirit are important elements in the healing journey.

We are not miracle workers. Our trust is placed entirely in the Lord Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, who alone brings true transformation and lasting freedom.

As a ministry, we help individuals:

  • Understand the importance of forgiveness and walk through biblical forgiveness exercises.
  • Learn why repentance is essential to restoration and how to apply biblical repentance.
  • Identify and renounce unhealthy inner vows and judgments.
  • Recognize and break ungodly soul ties.
  • Understand how spiritual strongholds and legal ground can affect a person’s life and how freedom is found through the Blood of Jesus Christ.
  • Learn about the Court of Heaven and presenting our petitions before God, the Supreme Judge of all the earth.
  • Understand spiritual strongholds and influences that impact the soul and spiritual life.
  • Recognize the effects of trauma, brokenness, and dissociation.
  • Participate in guided inner healing and prayer ministry sessions.

How We Got Started

In March 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown, the Holy Spirit placed a desire on our hearts to begin a study called Demolishing Strongholds by Mike and Sue Dowgiewicz. In June 2020, we formed a small group of approximately twelve people from five different churches.

As we continued studying together, our faith and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ grew in ways we never imagined. We later completed additional training through Vision Life Ministries, which deepened our understanding of discipleship and spiritual growth.

The Lord then led us to Ignited in Christ, a ministry based in South Africa. Through their ten-week training program, we experienced deeper freedom, healing, and spiritual growth. As we drew closer to Jesus Christ, we were transformed by His love, truth, and power.

What began as a personal journey of healing and discipleship became a calling to help others encounter the same freedom, restoration, and hope that we found in Christ. Today, Overcomer Ministry exists to walk alongside individuals as they pursue healing, wholeness, and a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
